This homeowner had just moved to Calgary and wanted to make their new-to-them home more suited to their tastes and lifestyle.  Onyx Custom Homes was hired to not only update the Kitchen area along with an opened up wall and relocated Powder Room, but to relocate the Laundry room to a second floor Bedroom and update the interior doors & trim in the bedroom areas.  To add to the challenge, the homeowner wanted to preserve the existing slate tile flooring that was extensive in the home.  As with some renovations, the project grew as it went and an exterior deck was completely re-done.  We installed new decking, built a new bench area, and added led accent lighting.  In addition to all of this the mechanical system was completely overhauled with a new Valor fireplace, new high-efficiency furnaces, new air conditioners, and a Navien tankless hot water heater.  The budget definitely increased but this project was completed on-time and with another happy homeowner.
